Privacy information regarding consent to the processing of personal data for the company's marketing purposes
Dear clients,
In this information notice we would like to provide you with detailed information about the processing of your personal data for marketing purposes. To begin with, we would like to explain why we have asked you for your consent to the processing of personal data for marketing purposes.
The main aim of this processing is to offer you the latest information on current and new products and services, both our own and those of our business partners. A further aim is to provide time-limited offers and practical information, in written or electronic form. We strive to create tailor-made offers based on segmentation and profiling and to present you only with relevant offers of products and services, so that you are not flooded with offers of products that you already have or that do not suit your needs.
Given that Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR), takes effect on 25. 5. 2018, we need to obtain from you a new consent that meets the new requirements.
Please read the information on the processing of personal data set out below, which we have prepared in the form of questions so that this information notice is as clear as possible and practical for finding information. If you have any questions or comments regarding the consent you have given, please call us on +421 43 43 01 520 or send an e-mail to marek@vegacamion.eu.

VEGA CAMION, s.r.o., Ulica E. T. Böhma 5, 036 08 Martin, Slovak Republic, Company ID (IČO): 00 633 208, registered in the Commercial Register of the District Court of Žilina, Section: Sro, Insert No. 15227/L.
2. What personal data of yours do we process?
For marketing purposes we process the following categories of personal data, which help us to determine the range of products and services that you might like and that would meet your needs.
- Basic identification data – name, registered office, date of birth, residential address.
- Contact details – telephone number, e-mail address.
- Socio-demographic data – statistical data on age, gender, education, occupation, number of children.
- Information on the use of products and services – which services you have used with us in the past, information on your use of the online customer zone. On the basis of this data we are able to recommend suitable products and services to you.
- Information from recordings of telephone calls or other interactions with you, for example by e-mail, chat or SMS messages.
- Geolocation data – geolocation data from your web browser. This data may typically be used to recommend the contact details of the nearest intermediary or branch.
3. From what sources does the personal data come?
We obtain the personal data referred to in the previous point directly from you. You provide this personal data in the client contract, or you may have provided it in other documents.
Personal data may also come from publicly available sources, registers and records, for example from the commercial register. Your personal data may also come from third parties that are authorised to handle it.
4. For what purposes have you given your consent?
You have given your consent for marketing purposes, which include the following activities:
- offering products and services – on the basis of your consent we may provide you with offers electronically, in particular by e-mail or by messages sent to mobile devices via your telephone number, through the online client zone, in writing or by telephone call,
- automated processing of personal data in order to tailor our commercial offer to your individual needs,
- market research and surveys of customer satisfaction with the products and services used.
Consent given for marketing purposes is voluntary. However, it is necessary in order for us to be able to send you individual offers of products and services, both our own and those of our business partners. Without such consent we cannot provide you with individual offers of products and services.
5. Why do profiling and automated decision-making take place?
Our company endeavours to provide you with individually tailored offers of products and services. For this reason, we profile your personal data on the basis of your consent. For this purpose we use automated information systems, web applications or calculators. On that basis we send you individualised messages and offers of our company's products and services.
Automated evaluation (profiling) of personal data helps us to get to know you and your needs better, to anticipate future behaviour and to adapt our products and services accordingly.
6. How long will we process your personal data?
You have given your consent to the company for the duration of the contractual relationship and for the following 10 years after the termination of that contractual relationship, or until you withdraw your consent.
If you are not, and do not become, a client of the company, your consent will remain valid for 10 years from the date it was given or until you withdraw it.
After the relevant period has expired, your personal data will be erased, but only to the extent of, and for the purposes for which consent is not required under the law.
7. Who are our business partners?
In your consent you also agreed to receive offers of products from, and to the transfer of personal data to, our selected business partners. Our business partners likewise comply with the rules on personal data protection, and we have concluded a data processing agreement with them.
The business partners are: TO BE COMPLETED – list missing in the original document
8. Who may have access to your personal data?
For the processing of data for marketing purposes, your data may also be accessed by other entities that process personal data as so-called processors, whose role is to provide services to the company. These may, for example, be external companies that administer our systems or provide other services ensuring the proper operation of the company and the processing of personal data for marketing purposes. We have concluded a data processing agreement with these processors, on the basis of which they are also obliged to comply with strict rules on personal data protection.
